Simay Arikan is the Head of Platform at KOMPAS VC. Based in our Copenhagen office, her work plays a pivotal role in driving the continuous development of our Platform. Her main focus is to strengthen the connections between our portfolio companies and our broader network. Simay holds a BA in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, complemented by an Executive MBA from Kellogg and WHU.
Simay’s career journey reflects her commitment to innovation and sustainability. She embarked on her professional path in industrial engineering, gaining valuable experience with companies in the UK and Germany before joining VELUX in 2017 where she serves as Sr. Director of Business Development and Exploration within the Product Organization, leading the innovative ‘Buildings of the Future’ team.

Victoria has dedicated her career to radically improving the sustainability of the built environment by transforming the way that it is designed, constructed, operated and repurposed.
As Director of Advancing Net Zero at the World Green Building Council, Victoria was responsible for a pioneering global programme to accelerate total decarbonisation of the sector by 2050. She holds a degree in Architecture and Environmental Design from the University of Nottingham, UK, and co-authored the book ‘A Whole System Approach to High-Performance Green Buildings’. Victoria brings a combination of technical and strategic expertise to KOMPAS’ mission to identify the approaches, solutions and technologies needed to transform the sector.
Based in France, Victoria supports the portfolio of decarbonisation technology investments by forging impactful industry partnerships, and providing public policy insight to help navigate the constantly evolving regulatory landscape.
Pauline Jimenez is the Marketing and Communications Manager at KOMPAS VC. Based in our Copenhagen office, her work is at the heart of the KOMPAS team. Her main focus is to communicate and strengthen KOMPAS’ public profile, and to ensure our firm is top of mind for talented entrepreneurs and potential co-investors. Pauline holds a BA in Psychology and an MBA from the University of Amsterdam. Her work at KOMPAS is inspired by her desire to tangibly contribute to the conservation of our planet and the well-being all humans crave and deserve.
Ilena Mece is the Berlin-based Associate at KOMPAS VC. She focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and performing due diligence on deals in the German-speaking region, CEE, part of Southern Europe and the US. In addition, she supports founders in growing successful companies and teams. Meeting founders with extraordinary visions and ambition to build winning companies with a lasting impact, is what motivates her work at KOMPAS VC. She strives to build long-lasting relationships and connect people in the ecosystem that could form great teams.
Talia Rafaeli is a Partner at KOMPAS. She manages the Tel Aviv office and is responsible for investments in Israel, the Iberian Penninsula, and jointly with Andreas Strasser, the US. Talia started her career as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital in New York and London, covering the retail and technology sectors. She also spent several years working at Accenture as an IT infrastructure consultant in Madrid and Tel Aviv. Prior to launching KOMPAS, Talia led investments on behalf of Porsche Ventures with a focus on deep-tech deals in mobility innovation, software architecture and emerging automotive technologies. She holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School at Columbia University in New York and a dual bachelors degree in Economics and Computer Science from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Summit Rosenberg is the Associate at KOMPAS VC’s office in Tel Aviv. He manages the sourcing, initial evaluation, and due diligence for opportunities in Israel, Iberia, and the USA. Additionally, he works to provide ongoing support to our portfolio companies. Summit is passionate about leveraging innovation to solve social challenges and is inspired by the founders he gets to work with on a daily basis.
Meg George is Head of Operations at KOMPAS VC. Based in our Amsterdam office, she takes care of the ins and outs of what allows us to function as a global firm, from (mostly) behind the scenes. Her work at KOMPAS is directly connected to her desire to contribute to the conservation of our planet by reevaluating the way we take up space on it.
Andreas (Strasser) Winter-Extra is a Partner at KOMPAS. He manages the Berlin office and is responsible for investments in the DACH Region, Southern and Eastern Europe and jointly with Talia Rafaeli, the US. Prior to joining KOMPAS, Andreas was an investment Director at the Volvo Tech Fund before being appointed Managing Director of Smartworks Innovations, the venture capital arm of Vienna Energy Group. Andreas holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Hamburg and a joint MBA degree from the University of Hamburg and East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai.
Nick Gosen is the Associate at the Amsterdam office of KOMPAS VC. His focus is on sourcing the best deals, performing the initial evaluation of all deals, handling the due diligence process, and providing assistance to our portfolio companies. He believes that innovation thrives in a collaborative environment and that by working together with founders he can contribute to the conservation of our planet and ensure future generations can still enjoy all the magical places earth has to offer.
Sebastian Peck is a Partner at KOMPAS. He manages the Amsterdam office and is responsible for investments in the Nordics, UK, France and Benelux. Sebastian started his career at the Boston Consulting Group before joining the TMT advisory team of UBS Investment Bank. In 2010, he co-founded Digital Science, a leading UK-based data analytics provider for scientific institutions, successfully building a business from the ground up. Following his exit, Sebastian was appointed Managing Director of InMotion Ventures, Jaguar Land Rover’s venture capital arm, which he led for five years before launching KOMPAS. Sebastian holds an MA in History from the University of Cambridge, an MSc with Distinction in Philosophy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from London Business School.
