An interview with the CEO and Founder of Beamup, Stephane Levy

Every transformative company begins with a moment of stark realisation - the kind that makes it impossible to keep solving problems the old way. For the founder of Beamup, that moment was not triggered by a lack of data, but by the "Visibility Paradox": having vast amounts of tracking data but no way to execute on it in real-time.

In this 2026 edition of our “Meet the Founder” series, we speak with Stephane Levy about moving beyond simple visibility to an Autonomous Execution Layer powered by Agentic AI.

The Interview: Inside Beamup

Q: What “aha” moment made you realise this was the right problem to solve?

“It hit us when we saw how much valuable supply chain and operational data was essentially abandoned,” Stephane shared. “Not because it was missing, but because traditional tools just could not connect it to autonomous action at scale. Teams were chasing symptoms on dashboards, never the cause. That was the turning point—realising Agentic AI could not only reveal what was hiding in plain sight but actually resolve the root cause without manual intervention.”

Q: Has the technology delivered any standout wins recently?

“One of our clients, a global retailer, used Beamup to uncover execution anomalies that had slipped past their legacy systems for years,” the CEO recounted. “By deploying our Fulfillment Execution Agents, they identified specific warehouse bottlenecks and autonomously rerouted inventory to protect their margins. Within months, they reduced loss events significantly and saved millions in what they now call 'self-correcting' logistics.”

Q: What is the boldest risk you have taken so far - and how did it pay off?

“Without a doubt, pivoting from the facilities sector to the supply chain execution space,” Stephane explained. “It forced a full rethink - pivoting from 'monitoring' to 'agentic execution'. But it paid off. Today, we aren't just a visibility tool; we are the execution engine for global players across retail and manufacturing who need to resolve 80% more disruptions automatically.”

Q: What  lesson has surprised you most when working with traditional industries?

“The openness to innovation - when there is clear, explainable value,” he reflected. “These teams are not afraid of technology; they are afraid of 'black box' AI. That is why we built Beamup with Reasoning Traces. From the technical side, he emphasizes that while the AI is sophisticated under the hood, users need to see the agent's logic - like validating that a delay is caused by a specific product category - before they authorise autonomous action.”

Q: What ripple effects does Beamup create when adopted at scale?

“When enterprises use Beamup, they do not just boost efficiency - they change how decisions are made. By converting AI recommendations into trackable tasks, they create a continuous learning loop. Less shrink, smarter transportation, and predictive prevention aren't just goals anymore - they are automated outcomes. It is an evolution toward a truly intelligent, future-ready operation.”
